Elder Makuakane's last few days, plus the MURF

Hallo everyone,

Hope you all have had a great week. It's been a pretty good one here, it was elder Makuakane's last week, he heads out Wednesday morning back to Hawaii, as well as a bunch of other people in my district, so the only person I'll know is Elder Sandburg and he's awesome so that's nice. We had Elder Makuakane's "funeral" in district meeting last week, and it involved an obituary by me, which was a summary of his life before the mission (which involved some strategic hidden inside jokes) and then we had a roast session afterwards which was awesome, then we had some Oreos and milk and some Hawaiian juice which was awesome...I'm gonna miss that guy, he's been a great trainer and I've learned a ton from him.

Now as for the MURF. The murf is a crazy crossfit exercise I did when on exchanges with Elder Lee who is this crazy jacked dude who loves that kinda stuff, it's where you run two miles, do a total of 100 pull ups, 200 pushups, and 300 squats. Put you split it up to where you run a mile before, 10 pull ups, 20 pushups, and 30 squats, and you do that 10 times, and then run a mile after...i thought I was straight up gonna die on the mile back, I was so dead but it was super fun, and cold.

We had some good proselyting time too. When Elder Makuakane was at the temple with all the dying missionaries I went with two other elders to go proselyting...and also just so you know it's like 30 degrees and we are street contacting for 4 hours. We got to have a good conversation with one person, but everyone else didn't wanna talk which is understandable because it's freezing, but still. Then we had to walk to the temple (about a mile) past the temple to get lunch on the side of the road (another mile) back (another mile) then get Elder Makuakane and go back home (about 20 miles but we had trolleys for part of it) then back to the temple 30 mins later...yay.

Today was good, it was Elder Makuakane's last Sunday, and the other elders had a baptism after church which was cool. Then a family in Bayview Maryland in Elder Makuakane's old area took us up there for dinner where I got to see Elder Nuzman my MTC companion which was super awesome. They are an awesome family and made us AMAZING cheesecake.

Just a fun fact, our new apartment is right below these people that smoke more weed than I've ever seen, so our apartment always smells like it...yeet.
Love you guys!
